Lingerie menstruelle : adieu aux tampons, bonjour le confort et la simplicité !

Menstrual lingerie: goodbye to tampons, hello comfort and simplicity!

Menstrual lingerie, a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to tampons and sanitary towels, is gaining more and more popularity among women. But how do you maintain these washable panties so that they remain effective and comfortable? Here are some tips:

Rinse immediately

As soon as you remove your menstrual panties, rinse them thoroughly with cold water. This will remove most of the blood and prevent it from becoming embedded in the fibers.

Hand or machine wash

You can wash your menstrual panties by hand or in the washing machine. For hand washing, use a mild soap and gently rub the soiled area. For machine washing, place your panties in a laundry net and choose a delicate program at cold or 30°C maximum.

Air dry

Avoid tumble drying, which can damage the fibers of the panties. Let them air dry, preferably flat on a clean towel.

No chemicals

Never use harsh chemicals, such as bleach or fabric softener, to wash your menstrual panties. This could damage the fabric and affect its absorbency.

Some additional tips

  • You can add a tablespoon of white vinegar to the rinse water to neutralize odors.
  • If you have stubborn stains, you can pre-wash them with a mild stain remover for delicate laundry.
  • Store your menstrual panties in a clean, dry place.
  • With proper care, your menstrual lingerie should last for several years.
